High Fidelity Manikins
SimTiki has a cadre of partial humantask trainers and programmable, high fidelity life-sized manikins that talk, breathe, and respond to administered medications and procedures.
A variety of interventions can be initiated including intubation, chest tube placement, needle decompression, cricothyrotomy and IV insertion. Students and experienced health care professionals learn basic and high risk procedures, as well as crisis management and error prevention skills in a high tech mentored environment.
Course Directors are assisted by SimTiki staff to program and execute their course.
Computer-based Simulators
Participants have access to a variety of computer based simulators.
Endoscopy Simulator
Endoscopy Simulators allow performance of bronchoscopy, upper GI and lower GI techniques.
Laparoscopy Simulator
Allows students and physicians to practice skill sets, dissections and procedures in the environment of
laparoscopic surgery.
FLS Certification
Telehealth Research Instituteis a regional test center for the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) certification. Designed for surgical residents and practicing surgeons. FLS certification documents cognitive and manual dexterity and is endorsed by the American College
of Surgeons.
